What are the main functions of conformal paint?
The core function of conformal coating is to provide all-round protection for electronic components and PCB boards, ensuring the reliability of equipment in complex environments, including:
Anti-moisture/anti-mold: forms a dense protective film to isolate water vapor and condensation, avoid circuit short circuit and oxidation of metal contacts, inhibit mold growth, and adapt to outdoor and high-humidity scenarios;
Anti-corrosion: resist the erosion of industrial atmosphere, salt spray, chemical media (such as oil pollution, electrolyte), and protect solder joints and lines from corrosion and failure;
Insulation protection: improve circuit insulation performance, prevent leakage and arc breakdown between components, especially suitable for high-density integrated electronic equipment;
Physical damage resistance: The film layer formed after curing can buffer the damage caused by slight vibration and friction, reduce dust adhesion, and facilitate equipment maintenance.
