Are conformal adhesive and conformal paint the same thing?
The essence of the two in the industry belongs to the same type of electronic protective materials, only the names are different, and the core functions are completely the same - both form a dense protective film on the surface of electronic components and PCB boards to achieve the effect of anti-moisture, anti-corrosion, and anti-mildew ("three-proof"), and avoid circuit short circuit and oxidation failure. The subtle differences are only reflected in the form expression: "conformal paint" focuses more on the attributes of the paint, often in the form of spraying, and the texture is thinner; "Conformal adhesive" occasionally refers to the type with slightly higher viscosity that can be dotted or potted, but there is no clear definition of the two standards, and they are used interoperatively in the market, and the core focus on key indicators such as protective performance and curing method when purchasing.
